SUGARING

Advanced Sugaring

Luxury Organic Hair Removal

Sugaring is the ancient Egyptian art of removing unwanted hair from the face and body that has been practiced for centuries, performed with an all natural sugar, lemon and water-based thick paste. The ball of cool paste is applied by hand and moulded against the natural direction of hair growth allowing the sugar paste to bind with the hair and penetrate into the hair follicle. Then with a quick flick of the wrist, the sugar is removed in the direction of hair growth – taking the hair from its root. This technique reduces ingrowing or broken hairs. With regular treatments you can expect smoother hair free results that last longer and longer resulting in permanency on some areas.

Sugaring is 100% natural, synthetic chemical free, animal ingredient free, biodegradable and eco friendly. Bacteria can not breed or survive in sugar. That makes the treatment safe for both your body and the environment – ideal
for those with sensitive, allergy-prone skin. Sugar is well known for its healing properties. A nourishing treatment in its own right, sugaring can improve conditions such as Eczma and psoriasis. Unlike waxing (made from resins) –
sugaring paste is skin friendly and does not adhere to ‘live’ skin cells – it gently exfoliates ‘dead’ skin cells resulting in silky smooth conditioned skin and providing minimal discomfort. As sugar paste is water soluble – you never leave salon feeling sticky.

We use Pinks Boutique Organic (Soil Association Certified) pre- and postepilation products – to ensure that your skin has no parabens, GM, animal or synthetic chemicals added to it during treatment.

Sugaring is suitable for vegans.

Before Sugaring Treatment

Please note:

  • Hairs must be 0.5 cm in length before treatment (approx 2 weeks after shaving).
  • Avoid applying creams, lotions, deodorants or oils on the skin 24hours before treatment, as they will interfere with the bonding of the hairs to the sugar paste.
  • Do not exfoliate for three days prior to your sugaring treatment as this could sensitise the skin.
